【Abstract】 The state-of-the-art of process flowsheet simulation technique is reviewed comprehensively in the light of following five topics: (1) steady state simulation; (2) optimization (off-line and on-line); (3) process retrofit simulation; (4) process dynamic simulation; (5) the impact of computer progresses on process simulation.
