【Abstract】 The high-yield pullulan produced by mutant PB 518 of Aureobasidium Pullulans As 3.2756was isolated after treating the parent strain with ultraviolet.Its high productive character remains sta-ble after several generations The optimum conditions have been studied and confirmed as following:sucrose was 50 g/L,（NH₄）₂SO₄ 0.4 g/L,KH₂PO₄ 2 g/L,MgSO₄·7H₂O 0.1g/L,NaCl 2 g/L,yeast extract 2 g/L,ini-tial pH 6.0（before sterilizing）,the amount of inocula 3×10￣8/mL, the temperature 28 ℃ the time 96hours.
