The structure and tribological properties of fullerenes LB films

【摘要】 <正> The structure of pure C60/stearic-acid LB films and phase transformation during dipping pro-cess have been studied by using UV,IR and TEM techniques.The tribological properties of C60/C70 LB filmsand C60/C70/behenic-acid LB films have been investigated.During compressing pure C60/stearic-acid Langmuirfilms gradually transformed from amorphous to microcrystals.Compared with the spectra of pure C60,newpeaks of the spectra of C60/stearic-acid LB films are produced,and the absorbing band of —OH disappears.Due to the contribution of C60 in the LB films to their wear resistance,their wear life is greatly increased.
