【Abstract】 The requirements on the facility environment information in CIM and CE are discussed.New ideas for the facility environment modelling are suggested. For the purpose of integra-tion and concurrency,some requirements that should be satisfied in modelling of the facilityenvironrnent are given, As for the modelling strategy,the methods for the hierarchy resolu-tion of the facility environment and the building of a binary-tree model are discussed.Theconcepts of“feature”and“feature in modelling”are explained and the method for building afeature model for the facilities as well as the four main features used to describe a single facil-ity are given.
