【Abstract】 The moddus of elasticity of periodon-tal membrane,as an essential pararneter indicating the mechanical character of periodontal membrane,is very important in biomechanical studies (e.g. finite eIernent stress analysis and,photoelastic,analvsis)of dental restoration。However,determination of modu-lus of elasticity of human periodontal membrane has not been reported in China and there anr differencesamong the foreign reports。 In this study,135 peri-odontal samples were collected from fresh teeth andalveoli of 6 heaIthy aduIts.Drawing and compressingtest were performed.The results showed that thetensile modulus of elasticity of human periodontal membrane is between 3.35 and 4.59MPa and the com-press modulus of elsticitv 0.5402(±0.348)MPa。更多还原
