【Abstract】 In the present paper, the special engineering characteristics of the loess is explained briefly, and the damage experience of the cave dwelling on the loess precipice in the historic earthquake is summarized. The approach to estimate the seismic critical height of the loess precipice is proposed, and the seismic performance of the loess cave dwelling is studied systematically. The initial results provided some basis conclusions for the construction of the loess cave dwelling in the seismic areas.更多还原
