中国东部郯庐断裂带构造模式讨论
Discussion on Tectonic Models for the Tan-Lu Fault Zone,Eastern China
【Abstract】 The NNE-SSW Tan-Lu fault zone with hundreds of kilometers of sinistral disp1acementis one of the largest continental strike-slip faults in the world. Four tectonic models,i.e,theintracontinental transcurrent fault model, suture line-boundary transform model,intraconti-nental transform fault model and indentation model, have been proposed by different workersfor origin and development of the fault zone. In the intracontinental transcurrent fault model, origin and development of the Tan-Lu fault zone is attributed to plate oblique motion in theNW Pacific Ocean to the Eurasian continent during Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, Thesuture line model demonstrates that the Tan-Lu fault zone is a suture line of the North ChinaBlock(NCB)and South China lock(SCB)or the NCB and some terranes,The Tan-Lu faultzone is regarded as a transform fault developed during collision between the NCB and SCB inthe transform fault model. Thetransform fault model is mainly based on the hypothesis thatduring continent-continent collision of the NCB and SCB A-type subduction had opposite di-rections on the either side of the Tan-Lu fault zone. The indentation model suggests that col-lision of the NCB and SCB began by indentation of the northeastern SCB between the Tan-Lufault zone and Honam shear zone into the eastern NCB in the late Early Permian and lasteduntil the Late Triassic to Early Jurassic. The Tan-Lu fault zone is therefore considered as thewestern boundary of the northward projection of the SCB in the indentation model. The Tan-Lu fault zone not only occurs between the Dabieshan and Jiaonan collision beltsbut also extends far north into the northern NCB,Paleozoic fold belts in northeast China andthe Sikhote-Alin area in Far East of Russia,A great wrench fault system generally parallel tothe northwestern Pacific margin was associated with development of the Tan-Lu fault zone. Therefore, only using the collision of the NCB and SCB is difficult to interpret whole originand development of the fault zone and its associated wrench fault system. If strike-slip offset on the fault zone is restored, geological units on the both sides couldbe correlated with each other. Before dislocation on the Tan-Lu fault zone, geological unitsand tectonic framework in the whole NCB were aligned nearly EW,Obviously, the sutureline-boundary transform model, intracontinental transform model and indentation model can-not interpret the dislocation of the geological units by the Tan-Lu fault zone on such a largescale.New evidences have shown that great left-lateral displacement on the Tan-Lu fault zoneas we11 as in the Tan-Lu fault system took place in the latest Late Jurassic to Early Creta-ceous as the continent-continent collision between the NCB and SCB. Therefore, developmentof the Tan-Lu fault zone cannot be related to the N-S collision between the NCB and SCB.Blue schists in the NNE-SSW Zhangbaling belt, the southern segment of the Tan-Lufault zone, was once used for an evidence for the suture line model. Our recent studies showthat the Zhangbaling belt is a part of the Dabieshan collision belt before it was offset andcurved by the Tan-Lu fault zone, The high-pressure metamorphism in the belt is related tothe N-S collision of the NCB and SCB rather than the Tan-Lu fault zone,Obviously, the su-ture line-boundary transform model is not evdent.New geophysical data indicate that the Qinling-Dabieshan collision belt west of the Tan-Lu fault zone and the Jiaonan collision belt east of the Tan-Lu fault zone have the same A-type subduction direction,Continental crust of the NCB subducted under the SCB in the colli-sion belt on the both sides of the Tan-Lu fault zone. The northward extension of the northern Jiangsu massif, which was used for a main evi-dence for the indentation model, actually occurs as a consequence of sinistral dislocation bythe NNE-SSW Tan-Lu fault zone. The northward extension occurred after thecollision be-tween the NCB and SCB. Consequently, the indentation model is unacceptable. The above evidences show that the NNE-striking major Tan-Lu fault zone on the east
