【Abstract】 21 cases of refractory heart failuse (RHF)were treated with glucagon. The result showed that the improvement of cardiac function in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0. 01). It is concluded that glucagon could not only increase myocardial contractility and cardiac output, but also bolck the actions of noradrenaline and catecholamines.
