【Abstract】 In this paper, the experiment research was made on a forced air-cooled large current enclosed bus model, in which a corona ion source was designed for ion measurement and two types of ion counters were designed: the planar ion counter and the cylindrical ion counter. Under the condition of different corona voltages and bia voltages, the ion densities at different distances from the ion source were measured by the planar and cylindrical ion counter.
