【Abstract】 Abstract 2-mercaptopyrimidine (2MP) has been used as an electroplatin addi-tive and metal corrosioninhibitor.Therefore,it is essential to understand the adsorption behaviour of 2MP at electrode surfaces through Raman spectroscop- ic studies.A preliminary study on 2MP coadsorbed with anion at silver elec-trodes has been carried out in our laboratory. By studying the electrochemical physically induced cotldsorption of 2MP and ClO,it has been shown that in more negative electrode potential region,2-MP is reduced as a new product that can even more preferable to induce the anion to coadsorbed at the siirface.Some interestin comparisosn will he presented based on two physically induced coadsorption svstems,i.e.TU+anion and 2MP+anion.
