【Abstract】 Particle size, velocity and mass flux measurements of air solid flow in cold model of a CFB combustor that has the cross section of 400×250mm and height of 2400 mm were performed using 2-D PDPA. Multisize glass spheres of 590 ̄ 105μm diameter have been used. The results indicate that a internal circulation of particle in the combustor exists.The direction of circulation is that particles is upflow in the centrial range, downflow near walls. The mean particle velocity is much smaller than the superficial air velocity inside the combustor.
