【Abstract】 The paper focuses on the method and procedure of drawing a 1: 50000 geological map with a computer. The definition of digital mappig, the constitution and function of the MAPCAD computer mapping system and the transitional technology of handmaking a 1: 50000geological map will be introduced hereby.
