【Abstract】 As a naturally occurring mineral, cordierite has been studied for many years. It is distributed widely in igneous rocks, metamorphic rocks and pegmatites, but is seldom concentrated to form independent cordierite deposits. As cordierite has many good properties, it can be widely applied as a material to make refractories, fine ceramics and substrates of computer industry. From the angle of cordierite minerology, this paper reviews the present state of the study of synthetic cordierite materials and its future prospect in development.更多还原
