【Abstract】 Seeded growth technique is employed to test the preventing scale ability of phosphonates,Addi-tion of several phosphonic acid derivatives to a supersaturated calcium carbonate solution greatly re-duces.the rate of growth of calcite seed crystats. The imchanism of the inhibition by phosphonates ap-pears to involve blockage of crpstal growth sitea,on the calcite surface,The results indicate that phosphonic acid derivatives are excellent in prcventingxcale formation.更多还原
