【Abstract】 Under everchanging economic environment, the Tianjin to Longkou barge line has to seek new operationalmodes to meet challenge. Two different technical approaches were proposed for owner to choose: Scheme I was to reconvert two of the three existing barges into self-propelled barges, carrying coal from Tianjin to Longkou and sand in return trip; Scheme Ⅱ was to modify the existing dumb barges to meet Ⅱ sea region requirement and still employing tug to tow. Techno-economic and risk analysis were made for comparison. It was found thst in spite ofthat the scheme Ⅱ required less initial cost, scheme Ⅰ was found to be more economical and less financial risk than scheme Ⅱ.更多还原
