【Abstract】 A new contour extraction method suitable to large size binary image is presented in this paper. The implementation in which the preprocessing is able to be completed with a special hardware needs smaller memory space and fewer time. The extracted contour is insensitive to noise and can approximate the original object so much as needed. An FFT-based feature extraction method for the reonition of hand writing engineering characters is presented and the experimental results are shown.更多还原
