【Abstract】 The experimental results revealed that the development and morphological characteristics of kid’s Peyer’s patches (PP) were similar to that of bursa of Fabricius. The PP of new born kid already possessed typical lymphoid structures, which developed during the embryonic stage, instead of the stimulation of the foreign antigens. Ileum Peyer’s patches (IPP) o f the new born kid appeared with the same histological features as the bursa fo Fabricius. After birth, both T and B lymphocytes were already presented in Jejunum Peyer’s patches (JPP) where B lymphocytes further differentiated into plasma cells. Ipp and JPP became well developed during growth of kid, and they may also perform the function of peripheral lymphoid organs. The present experiments also revealed that the extracts of kid’s PP could promote the immunity of young rabbits and chicken by increasing the production of antibodies and enhancing the development of the B lymphocytes areas of the lymphoid tissue. The extracts of kid’s PP are quite similar to the bursal extracts. It may contain the bursin-like subtances. The result indicates that the PP of kid may be considered as one of the equivalents of bursa of Fabricius.更多还原
