【Abstract】 The Composita Rabdosia ternifold（CRT）has been used in treating 308 chronic hepatitis B patients and asymptomatic carriers.After 3～6 months’ treatment,the total effective rate reached 72.4%:the percentage of sero nagative conversion for HBsAg was 32.8% and that for HBeAg was 58.6%.The curative effect in the treated group was better than that of control group（P<0.01）.It was shown in the animal experiments that CRT could protect the albino rats from CCl₄ injury of liver,it could lower the activity of alanine transaminase （ALT）.P<0.01.and enhance the nonspecific immunity and specific humoral and cellular immune function of the immunosuppressed albino rats Hence.a conclusion could be drawn that CRT has such effects as liver protecting,detoxifying,improving hepatic microcirculation,promoting the renovation of hepatic cells,enhancing cellular immunity and adjusting humoral immune function:they were in accordance with clinical curative effects.
