【Abstract】 The strain of Egg Drop Syndrome Verus (EDS-BH91V) was isolated by inoculating duck embryo with organs taken from the infected flocks with high infection and egg drop up to 30-60%,deformational eggs 17%. The isolate was propagated in duck embryo as well as duck em- bryo fibroblasts (DEF). It caused typical embryo-pathic effects and cytopathic effects (CPE). Electron microscope observation,test for susceptibility to chloroform ,Serological tests (HA&HI, cross-HI,AGP)and cross Immuno-protective test demonstrated that the siolate was similar to EDS-76-AV127strain in many aspects ,Such as antigenicity,morphology and other properties but caused defferent CPE in DEF.
