【Abstract】 The mechanism of the general genetic algorithms is discussed and then an algorithm is presented basedon the concepts of "auto-crossover"and "gene convergence one by one". A parametric research is made fora typical optimhation problem. The applications of the algorithm to the structural dynamic modal identification is tried to probe its efficiency.
