玉米雄性不育性研究——Ⅷ.玉米YⅡ-1型不育胞质归群初报
Investigation on Male Sterility in Zea mays Ⅷ. A Preliminary Study on Identification the Group of YⅡ-Ⅰ Type Male-sterile Cytoplasm
【摘要】 从若干方面初步研究了玉米YⅡ-Ⅰ型不育细胞质与3个主要类群的不育胞质(T、C和S)间的差异。育性恢复测验表明,YⅡ-Ⅰ胞质有其独特的恢复基因,在各类自交系核背景下,其育性表现与众不同。恢复基因至少有二对,其中一对与C群不育系有别。小斑病菌测试效应,说明YⅡ-Ⅰ型不属于T群,而线粒体DNA(mtDNA)的电泳图谱说明YⅡ-Ⅰ胞质明显不同与S群。上述结果表明,玉米YⅡ-Ⅰ型不育胞质可能是一种新型不育胞质,尚待进一步研究。
【Abstract】 The differences between YⅡ-l-type male sterile cytoplasm (cms-YⅡ-l) and the three main groups of Cms in maize (S.C.T) have been studied in different ways. Tests in pattern of fertility restoration exhibit that cms-YⅡ-l has its unique restorer genes for the fact that in gave distinct male-fertile or male-sterile performence in different nuclear background of each type of inbred lines. At least two loci may be involvoed in the restoration of cms-YⅡ-l, one of these is defferent from that of cms-C. Helminthosporium maydis race T and the race T toxin have no specifical effect on cms-YⅡ-l tissue. This means that cms-YⅡ-l can not be assigned to the cms-T group. And agarose gel electrophoresis reveal the difference between cms-T and the cms-S group in mtDNA banding pattern. These results suggest that cms-Y**-l may be a new type of male-sterile cytoplasm
