【Abstract】 The Library reform in colleges and universities should follow the overall plan of the national colleges and universities, ensure their academic nature to serve education and scientific research, and continuously strengthen the objective and principle of their function of education and information. In the current practice of reform, we should avoid being after the short -term effect in order to seek economic benifit, even turn the libraries in colleges and u-niversities into economic entities. We should have our eyes on the basic aspect of speeding up the transport and transfer for the development of national science, technology, education, and the foster of talented person. The article maintains that under the restrict by funds etc, we should make up our minds to break through the common practices, focus our labour power and financial capacity to procure advanced instruments and training of the staff. And the backward managing and service pattern should be replaced by modern technological methods. Knowledge resources should be exploited completely. We should regain the initiative. And finally the article makes a number of concrete analyses and expositions.更多还原
