【摘要】 根据《山西地震目录》１９６７～１９８４年的１８年内山西发生“３≤Ｘ”级地震的观测记录，用Ω统计概率法推断山西地震震级概率分布特征为ξ∈（３．４２０．４７）（０．０１７６％），按此分别预测山西发生５、６、７、８级以上地震情况，经与山西过去的４２００年、１６３３年及３４年间的地震记录资料校验，均甚吻合。得出Ω法推断的母体分布特征，能描绘山西地震发生的客观规律的结论。更多还原

【Abstract】 The Ω statistical probability method is used in this paper for an inference of magnitude probability distri-bution of Shanxi earthquake on″3≤X″earthquakes ofits seismological catalogue(1967～1984),its featureisξ∈(3.40.47)(0.01 76%).To check the method,the earthquakes of M>5.0,M>6.0,M>7.0 and M>8. 0 in the past 4 200 years,1633 years and 34 years were evaluated respectively,the result shows that theprediction is in agreement with actual earthquakes.It is proved that the parent population distribution featureof Ω method inference may show the objective law of the magnitude in Shanxi,and it can be used as a refer-ence to the work of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction.更多还原
