【Abstract】 This 228-pases long sclections is a very important seosraphical reference book, published bybeijing Univeraty Pras in 1993.Professor Lin Chao (19090-1991 )is a contemporary Cninese geographer well known at homeand abroad. Devoting more than 60 years of his life to geographical research and teaching, hecontributed a great deal in developing Chinese geographical science with numerous academic worksand students spreading all over the world.Here are selecteil and compiled into a book 27 representative works written during the periodof 1920s-1990s. It deais with physiography , economic seography , demographical geography ,political geapraphy , settlement geography , historicai geosraphy’ history of geography , toponomy ,and geographical education , etc.His geographical academic thoughts and achievements are suninlarized as follows : 1.
