【Abstract】 Rice is the inportant crop in Jiangsu province. It is shown by the primary composition analysis (PCA) for the flood/drought index in rice field which is deduced on the basis of the principle of water balance in rice field that the frist three primary compositions can almost reflect the flood/drought condition in rice field.
