【Abstract】 Abstract1. Phaonia discauda Wei, sp. nov. (figs. 1-4)Similar to Ph. glauca Malloch, 1931, but can be distinguished from the latterby the eyes densely haired, frons narrower than that of Ph. glauca, beret withonly one hair, mq+2 straight, t2 with 1p, t, with 4av.Female: Unknown.Body length: 7.5mm.Holotype , Kuankuoshui (28.2°N, 1 07.0°E), Suiyang County, Guizhou Province, Aug. 2, 1985, collected by Wei Lian-meng.2. Phaonia magna Wei, sp. nov. (figs. 5-8)Related to Ph. guangdongensis Xue et Liu, 1986, but differs in the bucca with a row of upcurved setae on anterior upper margin, pra longer than 2× of 2ndnpl, the shape of genitalia different from that of the latter.Female: Unknown.
