【Abstract】 Since the reciprocating flow flocculation tank with plates at Jiujiang Waterworks in Nanhai city, Guangdong province was replaced by crosswise screen one the flocculation effect was improved greatly and the output of the waterworks increased from previous 19. 2 to 33. 6 thousand cubic meters per day now. Also the water quality has been meliorated.
