【Abstract】 Eight cases of the rerto -articular vertebral ring of atlas hve been operated for resection to relief from cervical vertigo. Diagnosis should be done on the base of hiatory, physical findings plain X-ray of cervical sp9ine and CT after the diagncosis is estabilshed operation is only for those with markea cervical vertigo.The main point of the operation is to reseel the peterior ponticle which forms the retro-articular vertebtatl ring.The results of the operation in seven cases are good.
