【Abstract】 The treatment of using the extract sdution of maifanite（C₂）to soak the rice seeds or tospray the foliage can promote the activities of amylase in the seeds.Polyphenol oxidase,ascor-bic acid oxidase in the plant during the tillering stage,and the root oxidation actiyity,thus hasmarked positive effect on seed sprouting ,root growth,nutrient absorption,even the growthand development as a whole and the formation of product of rice. The yield increases by5.7%～7.0%in average. If it is applied to other crops i.e. soybean,peanut,milk vetch, theiryields increase by over 7%in average. The effects of the maifanite are closely related to the soil property,the method of extrac-tion and application. Its effect on increasing crop product in sandy soil is more significant thanin dayey soil.1:50 is the proper weight ratio of the solid to the solution while boiling waterfor extraction is better. Generally,soaking the seeds is superior to foliage spray.In the solubk mineral elements, the microelements Cu.Mo, the rare earth elements La,Y, Yb, Ce and the beneficial element Ti may benefit plant nutrition.
