【Abstract】 The attachment, size and blood supply of the buccinator muscle were investigated on 40 adult cadavers (24 males, 16 females). The results were as follows: The size of the buccinator muscle which could be transplanted was 43 x 19 mm. The blood supply of the buccinator muscle depended mainly on the buccal artery, its outer diameter at the origin being 0.84 mm and its length 21 mm.
