【Abstract】 Agricultural production in western region of Jilin province has a great potential, but further development in agticultural production has ben restrcted by the primary cropping system. Therefore, it is imperative to probe a new cropping system in this region. The study of combining farm machinary with agronomy has been engaged in for three years, and a new dry farming cropping system which suits region local conditions and presupposes mechanization in processes of farm work is advanced in this peper.
