【Abstract】 The phase diagram of ternary system PrCl3-SrCl2-MgCl2 has been investigated by means of DTA. Four surfaces corresponding to the primary crystallization of PrCl3, SrCl2, MgCl2 and Sr3PrCl9 respectively, five univariant lines related to the secondary crystallization, ternary eutectic point E (25.0wt% PrCl3, 41.5wt% SrCl2, 33.5wt% MgCl2; 538℃) and ternary peritectic point P (23.0wt% PrCl3, 43.5wt% SrCl2, 33.5wt% MgCl2; 544℃) were found.
