【Abstract】 In tetrahydrofuran (THF), 1, 2-dimethoxyethane(DME) and dioxane, the alkali metals, lithium,sodium and potassium react with indene (HIn) andfluorene (HF1) to produce the corresponding indenyland fluorenyl derivatives (MIn, MF1, M = Li, Na, K). The reactions are influenced by the s Iventsused. The order of the reactivity of the solvents isDME>THF>dioxane. For the alkali metals, the reactivity is in the order:K>Li≥Na. Potassium showsthe most reactivity and reacts more completely. Thereagents of potassium indenide and fluorenide can beused conveniently for the synthesis of indenyl, fluorcnyl derivatives of transition and rare earth metals.更多还原
