负性向列相液晶MBBA在花生酸L-B膜上的择优取向特性研究
Study of Preference Tilt Direction of LC MBBA Aligned on Eicosanoic Acid L-B Film
【摘要】 负性向列相液晶MBBA在作为液晶的取向层的花生酸L-B膜上取得了较好的垂直取向排列效果。通过偏光显微镜利用锥光干涉效应研究了负性向列相液晶MBBA在花生酸L-B膜上的取向排列,发现在加电压后液晶受电场作用偏转具有确定的择优取向,芥方向沿L-B膜的生长方向。同时对液晶盒的电光特性进行了测量,显示了典型的电控双折射形电光特性曲线。它也肯定了择忧倾斜取向的存在。
【Abstract】 In the paper,eicosanoic acid L-B film is used as an alignmental agent of the negative nematic liquidcrystal(NNLC)MBBA,The molecules of LC are aligned normally to the substrate with L-B filmhomogeneously.The alignmental property of LC is investigated by conoscope figure。 The preference tiltdirection is found as a voltage is applied.The direction is parallel to the growth direction of L-B film。Inaddition,the electrooptical property of NNLC cell is measured.An electrooptical characteristic of anelectrically controlled birefringent LC cell is showed.It also confirms the existence of preference tiltdirection。
