【Abstract】 Situated on the northern slope of Kunlun Mts. and southwest margin of Tarim Basin,Yecheng County has an area of 30 900km2 with its length of 320km from south to north andmaximum wideness of 120 km from east to west. The types of agricultural land form are multiple in the county and the great,high and steep Kunlun Mts. is located on its south. Themountainous stratified landform and palaeoglacial vestige develop here. From high mountainto basin, the modern landform types can be classified as following: high mountain zone withpalaeoglaciation and denuded by present ice and snow,and the first denueded plain remains at5000－ 5400m a. s. l.; midmountain zone denuded by aridity or semiaridity,and the seconddenuded plain remains at 3800 － 4300m a. s. l. 1low mountain－ hill zone denuded by ariditywith wind accumulation, and third denuded plain remains at 3000－ 3300m a. s. l.; piedmentalplain zone with alluvial and diluvial deposits iand land of sand dunes covering on the plain.Stratified morphologic combination determines the diversity of ecological environment, andinfluences agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry. It is rich in natural grassland resource in mountainous regions. However,the fine surnmer－autumn grasslands in high andmiddle mountain zones do not be utilized so fully due to a limitation of disadvantageous geo－morphologic conditions. Low mountain － hill zone is an inferior winter － spring grasslandwith shortage of water and overload of livestock. So the grassland degenerates seriously. Inorder to utilize the grassland rationally, it is necessary to build some facilities for animalhusbandry such as folds, drinking spots, herd ways, bridges and cuiverts, in the high andmiddle mountainous grasslands for lightening the pressure of low mountainous grassland － 1nthe piedmont plain, the abundant resol1rces of light, heat, water and 1and should be utilizedfully－ The crop structure should be adjusted as well, that is to reduce the sown area of cerealcrops, increase biomass productivity, and develop the production of cotton, fruit, etc. Inthe exploiting region of uncultivated land in northeast, the reclaimed area should be kept,and the fragile ecological environment shouId be protected rationally. In order to build thenew reclamation area into a productive base of grain, fruit and meat in Yecheng County, theconstruction of basic installations should be strengthened, that is to plan uniformly, makethe odd pieces of land into large and regular farmland with irrigation canals, roads and forest belts.更多还原
