【Abstract】 The following improvements of [1] are made: (i) To aim at the one dimensional hydrodynamic system of partial differential equations with lateral input we give a more efficient difference scheme and its Newton’ s iteration formula, (ii) We use the method of eliminating elements in submatrices of the sparse matrix to solve the system of discrete equations of waterway network in each iteration computation, (iii) We propose a treatment for the possible case that flow channel has no water in computation of the low water type of tides. Practical computations for various types of tides in wide districts of waterway networks show that the efficiency of the above improvements is good.
