【Abstract】 The female reproductive organ of Metorchis orientalis were studied by electron micro- scope. The ovary contains germ cells in various stages of maturation. Mature primary oocytes contain a few" nucleolus-like bodies" against the nucleus and numerous conical granules along the plasmalemma. The ultrastructure of ovary and oviduct junction (Ovarian ampulla) is first discovered and decribed. The epithelium of the oviduct is ciliated. Mehlis’gland contains only one type of membranous body cell with narrow cytoplasmic channels supported by microtube deliver thses mambranous body pass through the ootype wall and open into its luman. Sperm are present in the vitello-oviduct and the ootype, while the fertilized egg are present in the ootype and the uterus. The ovary, genital duct and Mehlis’gland are discussed.更多还原
