【Abstract】 The dynamic characteristics of the frame of press section on the paper machine (model 1760) were studied with the program SAP84 and SAP5, the natural frequency and dynamic response of the frame were calculated reliably. The calculation method of critical operation speed is put forward based on the theories of vibration and composition of beat frequency;the principles of determining the allowable operation speed are concluded.
