【Abstract】 Addition of very small amount of ethylenediamine (0-1. 5% by weight on the dry straw) to soda-AQ liquor for wheat straw pulping can decrease the Kappa No. and the rejects, increase viscosity and crystallinity, improve bleachability and mechanical strength (especially tear strength) of the pulp and make the defiberation point shift to an earlier moment. The delignifi-cation degree of the pulp in NaOH-AQ-EDA pulping is higher than that in NaOH-AQ pulping and sulfate pulping. The fibers of NaOH-AQ-EDA pulp were observed by SEM. It was found that addition of EDA to NaOH-AQ liquor accelerates lignin removal in the middle lamella.更多还原
