【Abstract】 A new type of propulsion arrangement is introduced.A single engine drives two shafts with propellers rotating in opposite direction and arra- nged in one plane.Through a power distributing gear box,propellers are in a special kind of nozzle and they mesh each other like a pair of gears.The propulsion arrangement is simple in structure,modest in price and efficie- nt.It is suitable for ships with the propeller working at the high load,li- ke tug and push boat.Results of the operation of full scale ships have pro- ved that that fuel consumption can be reduced by more than 17 percent.更多还原
