【Abstract】 We investigated the stems and leaves ofAmerican ginseng. The dried stems and leaveswere extracted with H₂ 0,and the extracts weresubject to chromatography on a Macro-reticu-lar Resins column, eluted with alcohol. Crudesaponins were obtained after purifizction.From the crude saponins, 9 compounds wereisolated chromatographically on a silica gelcolumn. According to physical and chemicalconstants and spectrum data, along with com-parition with authentic samples, these com-pounds were identified as ginsenoside-Rb₂,-Rb₃,-Rd,-Re, -F₂, -Rg₁,-Rh₁,-Rh₂, andpseudo-ginsenoside-F₁₁. Among them, ginseno-side-Rh₁,-Rh₂ and -F₂ were first isolatedfrom the stems and leaves of this plant.更多还原
