【Abstract】 This paper introduces an expert system, realized on a microcomputer, for blast furnace abnormal condition predication. The knowledge base includes 87 production rules and 63 frames based on 33 process parameters. This system can predict four kinds of abnormal condition during ironmak-ing process, and has been applied to the 300 m3 blast furnace of Xuan Hua Iron and Steel Company.
