【Abstract】 Based on the investigation of epidemiology and social economic condition of three villages with different endemic patterns of schistosomiasis, a case-control study was made on the work capacity of the people with chronic schistosomiasis japonica. The result showed that chronic schistosomiasis could lead to decline of work capacity and reduction of income. Comparing with the healthy people, the average income for those with chronic schistosomiasis reduced by 18. 2%, and the major cause is due to the debilitating effect of schistosomiasis infection. such as general weakness, bloody stool and spleen enlargement.更多还原
