【Abstract】 In this paper, a new method for estimating lower confidence limits of system reliability is proposed. This method, based on the idea of the virtual system, is named as Virtual System Method. It greatly improves the Lindstrom and Madden method with many advantages, such as level consistency and asymptotical efficiency; and it is widely applicable to series parallel cases and many others as a reasonably accurate and quick approximate procedure.更多还原
