【Abstract】 An analytical method is developed to ptedict the second-order hydrodynamic forces on two large vertical circular cylinders subjected to horizontal ground motion. The harmonic ground excitation contains a second-order component at twice the exciting frequency of the fundamental linear one.Influences of the exciting frequency and the spacing of the cylinders on the nonlinear interaction between them, of which not much has been studied so far, are analyzed separately. Comparisons are made between the components of second-order hydrodynamic force as well as between the first-order and second-order hydrodynamic forces. Some significant conclusions are obtained.更多还原
