【Abstract】 This paper presented the state of the art for the study on culturing anaerobic granular sludge dong by many scientists of the Netherlands, German, France and USA. It is emphasized that the mechanism of granulation of anaerobic sludge is still a more complex field existing a lot of unknowns.
