【Abstract】 In this paper,a new species of Tyrophagus from Nanchang,Jiangxi Prov. are de-scribed. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology,Jiangxi University.（All measurements are given in micrometers）. Tyrophagus mimlongior sp. nov. This new species resembles T. longior,but differs in the following characters. The two suckers on tarsus Ⅳ are in equidistant from the base and apex of the segment,and r,w lie in the middle of the tarsus of the male. The supracoxal seta is stiff and with about2 to 3 lateral pectinations on each side. Seta d₂ are 2 to 2.3 times longer than d₁ and la. Holo-type,Allotype,30. Ⅵ. 1991.
