【Abstract】 In this paper formulas for direct solution of minimum base circle radius r₀ and offsete of plate cam with translating follower are given. For various commonly used motion rules by substituting give conditions such as travel distance h,rotary angle δ₀ of cam and maximum pressure angle α into the formulas it is quite convenient to find out the reasonable radius of minimum base circle and the value of offset.
