【Abstract】 A. new method is presented to automatically design artistic characters. Making full use of structural features of strokes of chinese characters provided by the character library and applying several mathematical models, the method can automatically process and mold the original shapes of characters. After optimized by art designers and transformed in art, the various new shapes of artistic characters are generated.
