不同平台间大型结构化软件系统的移植

【摘要】 DOS操作系统管理的微机是一种很重要的平台模式,向该模式移植解算功能强大的大型软件系统极具经济性、必要性和复杂性.因难在于要在DOS管理的小内存上运行大型程序.解决途径有:覆盖及压缩,平行模块处理、分块解法、更换DOS操作系统等,本文则采用虚拟数组技术.该方法计算规模仅受外存或扩展内存容量的限制.从AMTPOS系统的移植实践及算例结果分析,表明移植是成功的。

【Abstract】 The microcomputer, with DOS(Disk Operating System)as ite operating system, serves as a very important platform, onto which transplantation of powerful problem-solving software sytem is a demanding task for its economic advantages, but is also challenged by the complex nature of the practice. One of the cruxes of transplantation is how to load a large program in the limited memory available to DOS.Possible solutions to the above problem include overlay & compression parallel module arrangement, partition method, and replacement of DOS with other operating systems.This paper presents an alternative approach called"Virtual Disk Array Tech-nique’’.The scale of ploblems handled with this method is only limited by the capacity of hard disk or extcnted memory. Experience with the transplantation of AMTPOS from VAX 11 series super-minicomputers to IBM PC_s-386 and illustration of several practical examples have shown that our practice is successful.
